When I read The Cult for the first time, I was spellbound by the story of it. At that time I wished if a movie was made on that series. And Christopher Nolan fulfilled my wish through The Dark Knight Rises :)
The Dark Knight rises has very high striking similarities with the 4-issue comic book mini series Batman:The Cult, published in 1988.
The main theme of The Cult is about establishing a parallel government by gathering brainwashed people underground. Slowly an army is created by Blackfire and he then comes out of the manhole, to rule Gotham. City then falls in the hands of Blackfire, the main antagonist character. Law falls, anarchy prevails. Right from the very start, batman is weakened right from the roots of his concepts but then Batman recovers and strikes back to save the city.
In the movie also, the main theme is about establishing a parallel government by Bane. The strategy is also very similar. City falls in hands of Bane, Batman is broken by him (as in the Knighfall), but then Batman strikes back as always. However, the dilution of Gothamites' faith in their system and increasing support to Blackfire by people is not captured well in the movie, which disappointed me a bit.
However, there is certain so-called supernatural tint surrounding Blackfire in The Cult. Bane is not so.
Bane and his character is adopted from Knightfall as we all know. But the story of the movie is adopted from The Cult and I think Nolan has not declared it only to keep the suspense of the movie intact.

The travesty
Only when you see the other side of the world, you get to understand that the so-called villains are actually heroes and the so-called heroes are only the powerful dictators making the other side suffered.
Triumph never wins. It is just a consolatory sentence to make the common people feel that everything's fine and they will also get the fruits of good work some day.
Truth is just the sugar-coated synonym of power. What power says becomes the truth.

The most underrated hindi songs. .
I am a music lover. For years, i have listened to and enjoyed many songs which had gone unnoticed. In fact, some of these songs were better than many blockbuster songs of their time. Here i have compiled a list of such songs and putting that. This are the songs which deserved more than what they got, according to me. I have not taken too old songs into consideration because I am not aware how much attention they got.
